Large 9-10 cm long (bird like i thought it was a bat) night flying moth identified at about 22 hrs 29 July Duillier Vaud, only got a poor photo unfortunately - and suggestions welcome

D’après ce que l’on voit sur la photo, il s’agit d’un Sphinx du liseron (Agrius convolvuli). C’est une espèce migratrice qui arrive en Suisse au printemps depuis le sud. Les individus se reproduisent alors chez nous, et les adultes issus de cette reproduction (août-septembre) repartent vers le sud.

Based on what can be seen in the photo, this is a Convolvulus Hawk-moth (Agrius convolvuli). It is a migratory species that arrives in Switzerland from the south in spring. The moths then reproduce here, and the adults resulting from this reproduction (August-September) migrate back south.
